Welcome to the Wynford Local Schools website!  This website underwent a complete renovation at the beginning of the school year and we hope that this new format proves easier to navigate and will enable you to gain better access to the information that you need regarding our schools.

The 2009-10 school year is off to great start!  I encourage you to get involved in all activities at Wynford, particularly our three booster organizations - the Academic Booster Club, the Athletic Booster Club, and the Band Booster Club.

As most of you are aware, the primary health challenge of this school year is limiting the spread of influenza, particularly H1N1.  We have taken extra precautions and safeguards in the cleaning of all of our school facilities to reduce the spread of influenza.  You can assist in this effort by instructing your children to follow the guidelines suggested by the Centers for Disease Control and Infection:

1.  Practice good hand washing, especially after coughing and sneezing

2.  Cough or sneeze into a tissue or into your elbow - NOT into your hands.

3.  Do not send your child to school if you think they may be coming down with the flu.  Wait until your child is "fever free" (48 hours without medication) before returning them to school if they were home sick.

4.  Get immunized against the flu.
